Charity Golf Day

Giving Back Through Golf

One of the three founding pillars of Nomads Golf is a commitment to raising funds and supporting charity — a tradition proudly continued by the Nomads Golf Club of Australia.

Each year, the Vice-Captain of every Nomads chapter nominates a charity or group of charities close to their heart. They then dedicate their Vice-Captaincy year to raising both awareness and funds for those causes, with the full support of the club committee and membership.

The centrepiece of this effort is the Charity Golf Day — a highlight on the Nomads calendar. Organised entirely by the Vice-Captain and their team, this special event brings members, sponsors, and the broader community together for a day of fun-filled golf, raffles, auctions, and meaningful giving. From securing venues to gathering donations and prizes, it’s a collective effort driven by purpose and passion.

Importantly, 100% of the funds raised go directly to the nominated causes — the club retains none. To kickstart the campaign, Perth Nomads Golf Club provides seed funding of $2,000 as a foundation for the Vice-Captain’s fundraising efforts.

Thanks to the dedication of its members and the generosity of supporters, Nomads Golf Clubs across Australia are closing in on $1.67 million in total donations to Australian charities — consistently raising over $100,000 per year for worthy causes across the country.

At Nomads, giving back isn’t just something we do — it’s part of who we are.
